Brian Pitell is an Investment Advisor Representative offering securities and advisory services through Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, member FINRA/SIPC, a broker/dealer and Registered Investment Adviser. Cetera is under separate ownership from any other named entity.
Brian started his career in the financial services industry 1999 just prior to the bursting of the historic “Tech Bubble.” Not long after came historic events of 9/11 and then just a handful of years later came the “Great Recession.” Those first ten plus years did much to shape his view of the financial services industry, investor behavior and the resilience of markets. Which ultimately lead to the deep conviction he has in his phase, “PLAN before Portfolio.” Understand that bias is everywhere, markets can swing drastically, and investors can act irrationally so you must start with a PLAN. Working in multiple distributions channels as both an Advisor and a Supervisor he has developed a unique perspective on both how and why he works with clients.
Shortly after obtaining his Master of Administration from The Ohio State University, he began working at AXA Advisors, LLC. Then moving to National City Bank as a Retail Investment Officer and investment broker in the Private Client Group. After the bank collapsed, he moved on to the Luttner Financial Group, LLC where he focused on retirement income planning and served as an Agency Compliance Officer. With the creation of his own Financial Services entity, BPG Planning, he seeks clients and Advisors that find alignment with his philosophy and process that focuses on TIME as our most precious asset.
Moving into the house his Father built to Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania when he was one, he jokes about being a “early settler” of the now congested municipality. He developed a love for the outdoors and competition at an early age. Brian now lives in a rural setting outside of Zelienople, Pennsylvania where he actively pursues his passions for endurance sports and the great outdoors. He would also describe himself as a struggling culinary artist, a focused and dedicated consumer of wine and an aspiring novice in the “study” of life.
