My Holiday Wish for You - Believe!

December 18, 2023

For me, the theme this year has been one of belief. The last twenty-four months have brought me many firsts. And as I look ahead, I see more on the horizon. Some of which I could hardly imagine when I was in my teens, twenties, or even early thirties. For some reason, I never let go of what I wanted, even when I had no idea how to make it happen, and I believed that someday, I would make it happen.

Often, people stop dreaming as they get older. They stop stretching and seeking out more significant challenges. Nothing is wrong with that. It's just that I have gone in the opposite direction. A constantly changing landscape results from a continual effort to cover new ground. An effort I have no intention of stopping.

As we get older, we perceive time as moving faster. Years fly by, but the clock's speed hasn't changed a second. A year represents a smaller and smaller portion of our life and, as a result, seems much shorter. Our time can only become more valuable.

When I add these two conditions together, it hardly seems like it's been over 90 days since I last saw holiday decorations. But pursuing a worthy dream is time well spent, even though it moves fast. Dreams are worth the investment of time and effort. Turning a dream into reality is a powerful way to increase the value of your time. The exciting thing about this process is the moment that it happens. The moment becomes a cherished memory. Something that you can keep with you for the rest of your life. You can even share it with others. It even gets better with time. It becomes priceless because you can never have a second first time.

My Holiday Wish for all of you is that you have a dream worth pursuing. Big or small, it's the meaning that matters. Time is beyond precious, and there is actual value in it. So, Dream this Holiday Season and Believe with your heart. It's worth it, I promise. And if you need a little help, let me know. I still hear the bell. I'm still a believer.

Happy Holidays!
